Unit 6: Modern Slavery |
Reflective question:
What is it that can be done to raise awareness about the issues of modern-day slavery? Discuss this question with your study group in the forum |
Researchers estimate that there are 21 to 36 million people in slavery today. This means that there are more people in slavery today than at any other time in human history. Slavery wasn't just abolished in 1865. It has existed for thousands of years, but changes in the world’s economy and societies over the past 50 years have enabled a comeback of slavery.
